Lila finds herself wondering what sort of message Lily's back would have relayed, if she's ever done anything truly bad, if anything bad's ever happened to her. She always seems so put together and kind, but everyone has something, Lila thinks.

"Do you have magical places in your world like this one?" she asks curiously. "Where the source of magic is a place, not a person?"

All that comes to mind for her is the Thames in Red, but she doesn't know that it does anything, it's only a source.
